Q-MARE First Meeting: Climate and pre-industrial human impacts on marine ecosystems: crossing disciplinary boundaries

The ERC-funded project TRADITION and other research groups working on Marine Historical Ecology have jointly launched Q-MARE, a new research network in PAGES. Q-MARE aims to bring together scientists from different disciplines to disentangle past climate and human-induced changes and explore the timing and scale of human impacts on Quaternary marine ecosystems. The first meeting, entitled “Climate and pre-industrial human impacts on marine ecosystems: crossing disciplinary boundaries”, took take place from 17-19 January, with keynote presentations by Daniel Pauly (University of British Columbia) and Jennifer Dunne (Santa Fe Institute), along with talks by Patrizia Ziveri, Sven Pallacks and Andre Colonese
